RMA Technologies - Discovery Serial LED Controller

The Discovery™ Serial LED Controller™ and Serial LED 32 Channel Driver / Connect boards from RMA Technologies™ allow you to easily and economically add sophisticated control of a large number of LEDs to your display or exhibit. A unique design of daisy chained driver and connect boards makes wiring and maintenance easy. The 32 channel driver and connect boards mount directly on the back of your exhibit panel with neat, short wiring to each LED. Multiple driver boards are then daisy chain connected back to the serial LED controller board. User activation can be from push button, touch switches, or timers to attract attention when not in use. RMA Technologies™ can create virtually any operating sequence by custom programming the on-board microprocessor.
The LED Planetary Orbits Exhibit is an excellent application of the Discovery™ Serial LED Controller™. Designed to demonstrate the locations and relative orbital speeds of the 9 planets of the solar system, when the visitor presses a planet button the orbit LEDs light and start chasing at the actual relative speed of orbit of the planet. Add the Audio Discovery Player™ ADP-MP3™ for a complete interactive exhibit with narration and sound effects.
